Wow. What a show! What a band! 10 piece band (well, including 3 backup singers) horns and all!
Joss was simply stunning. Barefoot, naturally, in her typical mini dress. Voice in perfect form.
She is SO charming and sweet. And seemed genuinely flattered and shocked when the whole audience sang loudly with/for her on "Right to Be Wrong" (she mouthed to her band "I can't believe this is happening!" I think she didn't expect rural Minnesota to know her music so well)
She even signed an autograph for someone at the stage. I KNEW I should have brought flowers--no one else did! But SHE threw single roses out in to the audience at the end of the show!
She did most of the songs from "Introducing..."
plus a few 'oldies': Super Duper Love, You Had Me, Right to Be Wrong, and finished with an ad-libbed "No Woman No Cry"
Alas I got no photos. They THOROUGHLY frisked eveyone going in to the show. I even borrowed a coworkers very small digital camera, but there's no way I would have gotten it in. And go figure the ONE day I forgot my (camera)cell phone at home, which I COULD have used--many did!
The only bad thing of the night was the totally obnoxious (TALL. LOL) group next to me--which somehow kept ending up in FRONT of me) dancing (too) wildly and singing (too) loudly -- why must people SING when they are at a concert?! I went to hear JOSS sing, not them! AND the woman smoking like a chimney behind me all night.
But nobody could burst my bubble at getting to see Joss Stone, and up so close. (I could have been right up to the stage, but it was so high I wanted to be back a bit for a better view so was about 10 feet back)
Ah... I'm in love....
(OK. so let's forget she's young enough to be my dauther! LOL)
IF ANYONE has read this far, and was at this show and has even just a cellphone pic, could I get it from you?! onjvid@yahoo.com
