Great Scope Yet Still Personal
Mongol gives the viewer plenty of wide open steppe and fierce action to fire the imagination. But, in order to make the story more personal the film -- this can be a bit disconcerting if one is expecting a historical "conan" or another "gladiator" so be warned. It is a good, and ultimately satisfying, "part one" but some patience is needed.
