Best-selling author David Leavitt discusses 'The Indian Clerk'

Best-selling author David Leavitt will discuss his book, The Indian Clerk, on Friday, October 3 at 7:00 p.m. at the University of Minnesota Bookstore in Coffman Memorial Union, 300 Washington Ave. S.E. Minneapolis.
Leavitt, takes an extraordinary slice of history and transforms it into an emotional and spell-binding story. Copiously researched, Leavitt tells the true story of the strange and ultimately tragic relationship between a British, homosexual, left-leaning mathematician and an unknown genius who believed that a Hindu deity wrote mathematical formulas on his tongue. Discover how this relationship profoundly affected not only their lives, but the entire history of mathematics.
