He was an original member of Hip-Hop Co-Op under the direction of Colleen McClellan. He has performed at the Minnesota State Fair, and participated and performed in the Walker Art Center’s ‘Hip-Hop Heroes and Innovators’. The Hip-Hop Co-Op has since re-invented itself as Collective. As a member of Collective, Arturo has performed in the critically acclaimed production "Dance in the Dark" at the Southern Theater. In addition to hip-hop dance Arturo is proficient in many forms of dance including modern and African. He directed his own performance piece for the "Mean Sisters Variety Show" at the Bryant Lake Bowl. Arturo has lent his talents to the Minnesota Fringe Festival over the years with Collective, Three Dances, and Deborah Jinza Thayer’s Movement Architecture Company. Most recently he has performed with Collective at Hopkin’s Center for the Arts, and taught a workshop in South Dakota at "The Arc" dance studio. Currently Arturo teaches, choreographs, and performs all over the Twin Cities with Collective.
